Coconut Bread


  • Wrap:
    • Bread flour 3 cups
    • Yeast 3 tsp
    • Egg 1
    • Milk and yogurt together 1 cup
    • Salt as desired
    • Sugar as desired
    • Butter 3 oz
  • Filling:
    • Egg 1
    • Coconut flakes 2 cups
    • Butter 3 oz
    • Salt as desired
    • Sugar as desired
  • Glaze:
    • 1 egg, beaten


  1. Pour wrapping ingredients into the bread machine and turn to Dough level to make the dough.
  2. Mix filling ingredients all together
  3. Once the dough is ready, evenly divide into 8 pieces
  4. Roll each piece into a rectangle and wrap filling inside
  5. Roll into a rectangle again with coconut flakes inside
  6. Slit five lines on the top so that the coconut flakes can be exposed when baking
  7. Twist the coconut flakes filled rectangle, having the slits facing outside
  8. Knot into a flower shape
  9. Line on a baking sheet, make sure to leave spaces in between
  10. Let sit at room temperature until the size is doubled
  11. Prep oven to 350°F
  12. Brush the glaze on
  13. Bake for 20-30 minutes until golden
  14. Enjoy
