2015 Independence Holiday in Cincinnati

Day One We left home around 10 am and arrived at City Barbecue around 1:30 pm. I was surprised to find that it’s self-service. The good thing was that we didn’t need to leave a big tip. Cincinnati, OH Trip Prep

On our trip to St. Louis, MO, we’ll stop at Cincinnati, OH. We’ll stay there for 2 days. Things to Do/Sights to See: Kings Island, the largest waterpark in the Midwest. Admission is $41.99/person that includes more than 100 world-class rides and attractions, Soak City Waterpark, dazzling shows, and Planet Snoopy. We might be able to visit Florida next spring because Adventurer Jr.’s school might have an opportunity to go there. This will be our second time there. Columbus, OH Trip

Due to the rainy weather, we didn’t do much sightseeing other than a drive-through in the downtown area and a walk-through of the Columbus State Community College. Also, we couldn’t participate in the free capital tour either as planned. Columbus looked like a prosperous city. We did stop by an Asian supermarket and bought a container of cooked, ready to eat snails, some bread, and cake. During the July 4th holidays, we’re planning on driving to St. Louis, Missouri and stop by Cincinnati, OH. Detailed List: It takes about 8 hours to drive to St. Louis, which means 16 hours total on the road. Also, we will stop at downtown Indianapolis, Indiana to take a walk along the 1.5 miles long Central Canal. Parking around the walk is ample and cheap or free. 2015 AAU Taekwondo Nationals

The 2015 AAU Taekwondo National Championships will be hosted from June 29th to July 4th in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Sparring is in the first half of the week and forms in the second half.
